Movers and Shakers: East Coast Round-Up

The summer may be the time when things tend to slow down, but for women in the top industries, things have been heating up. Here are some of the women who’ve recently made their way along the executive path:

Financial Services

Suzanne B. Schiavelli was hired as a principal in specialty finance to Bank of America. The only woman in this class of nine new hires, she will serve as a senior member of the equity research platform at Bank of America. According to the Bank of America announcement, Ms. Schiavelli joins from Morgan Stanley where she most recently covered emerging specialty finance stocks. Prior to Morgan Stanley, she worked as an investment banker in the financial institutions group at Lehman Brothers. Ms. Schiavelli received a bachelor of arts in economics from Providence College and a master’s degree in business administration from The Stern School at NYU.

Kerry Kozlowski has been hired as director of business development for Cornerstone Advisors. Previously, she worked at Cornerstone Advisors where she served as principal and director of business development. In her new role, she will focus on generating new opportunities for Cornerstone Advisors.

Pharmaceuticals

Sandipa Dublish has joined Eisai Corporation of North America as Director of Global Market Research. Prior to Eisai, Dr. Dublish was the Director of Oncology Market Research at Bristol-Myers Squibb. Before joining Bristol-Myers Squibb, she worked at Novartis in Business Analysis and was an Assistant Professor of Marketing at Fairleigh Dickinson University. Eisai Corporation has a number of women at the top including Deepa Vanjani, Group Marketing Director, Oncology; and Noemi Rosa Director of Global Marketing for Oncology.

Retail

Nikole Rock is the new director of design and development at Hincapie Sportswear. Hincapie Sportswear is one of the key players in cycling wear, with over 50 years of experience in the industry. Rock herself offers over 14 years of experience in bringing sportswear, gear and technical apparel to the marketplace. She will be responsible for all aspects of the design, and development of Hincapie’s lines.

Energy

Lynn Wilson is the new Senior Vice President of communications and investor relations of Black Hills Corporation , a diversified energy company dealing in coal, natural gas and electric. Ms. Wilson was Aquila’s Vice President of communications and investor relations and will take over as Senior Vice President after Black Hills completes its acquisition of Aquila Natural Gas and Electric.
